High School Basketball: Camden Defeats St. Augustine at Liacouras Center Sunday, January 14, 2001 By Gregory "Graig" White As I travel over the Benjamin Franklin bridge, on my way to the Liacouras Center in Philly to watch the top teams in South Jersey play, the anticipation of the type of game I was to see was thought provoking. High School Soccer: The Lopsided Victory, How Much Is Too Much Wednesday, January 10, 2001 By Jim Law Last week we all read or heard about the Camden High School men's basketball team roll up an impressive victory at the mercy of Camden County Vocational School. This is the game where one player scored 100 points in a 90-point victory. Just think a 90-point lead and the Camden coach had a full court press on the Vocational School. Camden High is a NATIONALLY ranked high school team and they inflict this punishment on a much inferior team. Was it really necessary? |
High School Basketball: Wagner Brings Show And Fans To Edgewood; Scores 52 Tuesday, January 9, 2001 By Boog Williams On Tuesday, Dajuan Wagner and the top ranked Camden Panthers tapped off against the Eagles of Edgewood. The stands were packed, with standing room only. Both sides of the court bleachers were pulled out for the spectators and every seat was taken. An announcement was made that you probably should not leave your seat at half time because it might not be there for you when you came back. DaJuan scored 52 points (5 from 3 point land), but it was a sloppy 52 (if you could believe it) in Camden's 85 to 64 win. |
