Woodrow Wilson Shuts Down Rancocas Valley To Remain Undefeated

The rain gear was the fashion being wore this day as the fans were walking into Mike Rozier Stadium Saturday morning. With wind sweep rain and cool temperatures, this football game between Woodrow Wilson and Rancocas Valley had all the makings of who could run the ball. Both of these teams were undefeated and each wanted to continue their winning ways. On this day, the Tigers of Woodrow Wilson rolled to their four win of the season as they dominated both sides of the field in their 28-2 home victory.

Pennsauken Gets 1st Win Of Season At Camden

Pennsauken High School finally has something to cheer about: its first win of the season, a 14-12 come from behind effort over the Panthers of Camden High School. The first three quarters of the game was for the most part a penalty filled, see-saw battle with the Panthers of Camden High emerging with a 12-6 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Clearview Beats Township In Penalty Filled Contest

With the last two league champions playing in front of a packed house of fans, the focus should have been on the players and who will be the team that will be the favorite to win the championship. However, the officials had other ideas as they took control early and often. The game dragged on with the third period, initially being shortened to ten minutes, was called after about five minutes had been played. Oh, by the way, Clearview won 7-2 as Gunnar Fox and Chris Riggs tallied two goals each to lead the attack.

Dorr, Cross and Megara Lead Highland Over Neumann

Rich Dorr and Rob Cross scored two goals, Nick Megara added a goal and two assists to help Highland skate pass St. John Neumann 5-3 in Tier 2 action at Hollydell on Friday night. Highland took control early as Dorr scored just twenty-six seconds into the game. Megara made it 2-0 at the fifty-three second mark as Highland seemed a step quicker than the Pirates.

Lady Rams Defeats Sister School In Girl's Tennis

On a beautiful fall day at Overbrook Senior High, with a Junior Varsity football game being played in the background, the elegant sport of tennis was on display. Sister schools squared off when the Overbrook Lady Rams took on the Winslow Lady Eagles. Winslow's coach John Tutoro, who spent 15 year as an assistant to Overbrook coach Jeff Mack (when Winslow was known as Edgewood), was unsuccessful in his first bid at beating his former head coach getting swept 5 matches to 0.

Overtime Goal Gives Camden Catholic Upset Win Over Cherry Hill East

Teams are always having to prove themselves to others how good they are on the field. No matter what their record states, it all comes down to how well they played. Two very good boy's soccer teams were playing against each other in Pennsauken in an Olympic Conference meeting. Camden Catholic were hosting Cherry Hill East, which both teams were trying to make a statement of how good they could be against a good soccer team. It would be a penalty kick in overtime by Evan Myers to give the Irish a 2-1 win at home.

Early Goals Gives Eastern Shutout Victory at Highland

Eastern traveled to Highland in a game which both teams were searching for ways of getting a win. The Olympic Conference is loaded with teams that have established themselves as the team to beat. On this day, all that mattered was the team that they were playing. The Vikings scored early and came away with a 3-0 win.
