Baseball continues for high school players from the Camden County area as they participate in the Camden County All-Star game this year held at Campbell's Field in Camden, New Jersey. Getting back to the basic of baseball and its fundamentals, this game featured no home runs but batters coming through with timely hits and execution on the field. From the West all-stars, Zach Jakubowski had three hits and two stolen bases in the game. But in the bottom of the third inning, the East all-stars broke the game open scoring five runs to take a five run lead. JP Larmore and Frank Wilczynski combined for five hits, five runs and five runs batted in. Camden County East went on to win this game by a 12-5 margin.

The fact that this year's all-star game was played at the Camden Riversharks' home field may have something to do with no one hitting home runs. Nevertheless, runs were scored and being able to play on the nice ball field provided enough excitement for all of these high school baseball players. Speaking of the participants in this game here are the starters for both teams. Camden County West starters consisted of Matt Rosner (2B), Andrew Myers (RF), Zach Jakubowski (SS), Mike Caruso (P), Sean Curran (1B), Shelby Jones (3B), Stuart Becker (CF), Julian Johnson (C) and Ian Miranda (LF). The East starters were JP Larmore (CF), Andy Meyers (1B), Frank Wilczynski (3B), Christopher Savio (DH), Robert Gornowski (2B), Dan Bunnion (C), Ryan McNally (SS), Kevin Haddix (LF), Eric Console (RF) and JohnGladden (P).

The West all-stars took full advantage of their first at bat. Myers recorded the game's first run batted in when his single scored Rosner from second base. Two outs later, Caruso scored on a wild pitch and the East had something to work on after seeing their opponent put runs on the scoreboard. The East all-stars would finally take over the lead during the bottom half of the second inning when Larmore picked up his second consecutive hit to score Haddix and tie the game at 2. Two more unearned runs would score with Wilczynski picking up a run batted in on a groundout.

This close game was decided in the bottom of the third inning with the East all-stars holding onto a one run lead. With the bases loaded and one out, Larmore, Meyers and Wilczynski each singled to take an 8-2 lead. Meyers would later score on a wild pitch to complete the five run third inning. John Gladden would pick up the win for the East all-stars as Mark Caruso suffered the tough loss for the West all-stars.
