Glenn Murray hit a two-out, two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to steal a victory away from the Surf last night 7-6. On the positive side for the Surf, Mark Brownson pitched four shutout innings in relief before being lifted in the ninth after giving up a walk. The offensive highlights for the Surf were Melvin Rosario''s third home run and "Meatball" Heath''s twenty-third stolen base of the season. Marc Deschenes got the win and moved his record to 2-0, while Conor Brooks took the loss and dropped his record to 1-1.
The Surf will look to even the series tomorrow night when Jeff Ball sends Kyle Goldwater(1-0) to the hill to take on the Pride''s Juan Pena(1-3). First pitch is set for 6:35 and you can catch all the action with the inimitable Mike Wolverton on 1490, "The Game".
