In what should be the high watermark for the first half, the Atlantic City Surf will play the Pennsylvania Road Warriors in a four-game, promotion-laden series. Along with exciting baseball, as the Surf seek their first first-half South Division title in franchise history, fans can expect giveaways galore at the Sandcastle. Friday night will feature the Surf’s first doubleheader at home, beginning at 4:05 PM. The second game will be followed by another exciting fireworks show, sponsored by Resorts Rendezvous. The Sandcastle will also host the MBCA celebration of Atlantic City’s 150th anniversary, sponsored by Fleet Bank and Fox-Rothschild.
Saturday night’s game, scheduled to start at 6:35, will include a Greg Luzinski bobble-head doll giveaway to the first 2,000 fans in attendance. The Hammonton Auto Group sponsors the giveaway of the Phillies’ great and former Surf hitting coach’s bobble-head.
Sunday’s game is special for many reasons. The first 1,500 fans 18 and over will receive a Surf mousepad, compliments of Gift of Life donor program. The Surf will also present the First Annual Atlantic City Surf Teacher of the Year awards. Five local teachers from Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties will be honored for their dedication in the classroom. Presenting the awards will be the vice-president of NJEA, Ms. Joyce Powell.
