First baseman Jose Velazquez had two hits and two RBI including driving in the game winning run in the sixth.
Ducks’ starter Bill Pulsipher went the full eight innings, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out seven. Kimera Bartee and Doug Jennings each had a hit and drove in a run.
The Surf will go on the road for six games, their first stop will be at Bridgeport for a three game series against the Bluefish. The team will return home on Saturday to take on the Nashua Pride. Fireworks will follow the 6:35pm game and it is Ladies Night at the Sandcastle as the first 1,000 ladies will receive a carnation thanks to Maeflowers of Margate.
