Surf Close Out Regular Season with Loss

The Atlantic City Surf fell to the Camden Riversharks, 3-1 Sunday afternoon at Sandcastle Stadium. It was the final game of the regular season for both teams before heading into post-season action against each other starting Tuesday.

The Surf lone run was provided by outfielder Wil Quintana's solo shot in the sixth inning. Jose Velazquez had two hits for the Surf. Starter Rob Corrado suffered the loss. He pitched five innings, allowing a run on five hits.

The Riversharks received a solo homer from Quincy Foster, one of his two hits. Rich Barrett collected three hits for Camden. Kevin Dougherty won in relief, pitching two perfect innings with two strikeouts.

The teams meet on Tuesday in Camden for the first game of a best-of-three series. The series returns to the Sandcastle on Wednesday and Thursday if necessary. Game time on Tuesday is 6:35pm.
