South Jersey Baseball: Wednesday, August 11, 2004 By Don Delaney One night after setting season highs for hits and runs scored, the Camden Riversharks dropped a 3-1 decision to the Bridgeport Bluefish at Campbell’s Field. When the game started it looked as if the Riversharks would carry over their offensive effort from the night before as Quincy Foster ripped a triple into the right field gap and scored the only Riversharks run on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Jones. The Bluefish bats would be just as sluggish against Camden starter Ben Simon as they scored all three of their runs in the top of the second inning. Tino Sanchez broke a 1-1 tie with a two-out two-run home run to right field. Bridgeport starter Kevin Henthorne picked up his 11th win as he allowed just four hits and one run in six innings of work. The bullpen held on for the victory as they pitched three innings of scoreless relief. Simon took the loss as he allowed three earned runs on six hits in 6.1 innings of work. Sanchez finished the night with three hits and two RBI to lead the Bluefish offense, while Quincy Foster had two hits for Camden. The Riversharks will host their second camp day of the year on Thursday afternoon when they play the final game of a three-game set at Campbell’s Field.
