(Trenton, NJ)- Shelley Duncan's three-run double was the highlight of a five-run 7th Inning for Trenton as they downed Bowie, 6-2, on Saturday afternoon. The win was the third in the last four games for the Thunder.

Bowie (19-17) plated the first two runs of the afternoon. The Baysox loaded the bases off Trenton starter Danny Borrell with a walk and two singles. SS Rayner Bautista singled home one run and then 2B Gera Alvarez delivered a sacrifice fly for the second run. Borrell allowed two runs in 4 2/3 innings with two walks and seven strikeouts.

Trenton (13-21) got a run back in the 5th Inning thanks to a pair of Bowie mistakes. SS J.T. Stotts reached on an error by 3B Pete Shier. After a single by 2B Gabe Lopez, RF Bronson Sardinha singled. Stotts scored when Bowie RF Cory Keylor overran the ball. Bowie starter Craig Anderson allowed one unearned run over five innings, but didn't factor in the decision.

Then in the 7th Inning, Rudy Guillen started the inning with a single off Bowie reliever Calvin Maduro. After a sacrifice and a walk, Sardinha singled to load the bases. Randy Ruiz hit into a fielder's choice with the out recorded at home plate. Duncan then lined a double into the right field corner to score all three runners and put Trenton ahead, 4-2. Two more runs scored later in the inning on a Kevin Howard grounder that was mishandled by 1B Leo Daigle and then thrown away by Alvarez. Maduro (1-2) allowed five runs (three earned) in two innings of relief for the loss.

Jeremy King (1-1) worked 2 1/3 shutout innings of relief for the win. He allowed two hits and struck out two. The Thunder bullpen combined for 4 1/3 shutout innings on the afternoon.

The series wraps up on Sunday at 1:35 PM. Steven White (1-1, 2.61) starts for Trenton against Bowie's Adam Loewen (3-2, 3.03).
