Golf Spotlight:
Devils Place Third in CACC Tri-Match at Frankford-Torresdale

The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia place third at yesterday's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tri-match between the Devils, Goldey Beacom College and host Holy Family University at Frankford Torresdale Country Club in northeast Philadelphia.

Goldey Beacom finished first with a score of 336, followed by Holy Family (360). The devils shot 405 on the day to place third. The losses drop the Devils record to 5-10 overall.

Scott Cahayla (Fr., Lakeland Regional/Ringwood, NJ) led the Devils with a score of 89, nine strokes behind medalist Steve Cutler of Goldey Beacom and tied for sixth place overall. Michael Moll (So., Wilson Area HS/Easton, Pa.) (98), Blake Vida (So., Pomperaug Regional HS/ Southbury, Conn.) (105) and Nathan Zook (Jr., Cumberland Valley Christian/ Chambersburg, PA) (113) rounded out the Devils four finishers.

Goldey Beacom was led by Cutler's 80. Mike Williams followed with 82. Rob Hunt (86) and Justin Grossman (88) rounded out their top four finishers. The Tigers were led by Jon Radick's score of 85. Ed Czambelak followed with an 89. Matt Deckert (92) and Ed Webster (94) rounded out Holy Family's top four finishers.
