Give BloodEditorial:
Coping With The Tragedy

South Jersey Sports Online grieves with America for the loss of life, the injured and the survivors of Tuesday's disaster. We salute the heroic souls who sacrificed their lives in efforts to save and protect others.

The tragic misfortune of the terrorist attack on our country this week brings home to all of us how fragile life really is, especially for our kids. Our young people have been subjected to something most of us have been spared, the horror of an attack on our homeland.

It's fair to say that we are all struggling to handle our own feelings about this unthinkable tragedy. As parents, teachers, coaches, counselors or any other type of adult presence in a young person's life we must respond to the fears and feelings of our young people and help them feel safe. We must assure them that day to day life goes on. We may be a little subdued and move a little slower, but it is life as always.

South Jersey Sports Online will continue to provide coverage for the local athletic events as they happen. Many events were cancelled as a result of the disaster, so please check with the home school for changes in schedules for high school games.
