John Haltiwanger picked upa a fumble and rumbled 58 yards for the score. On the next possession, Delvin Jones emerged from the cloud of dust to scamper 17 yards after the Wolves running back fumbled. The Wolves were forced into 5 turnovers including an interception by the Lynx all-time interception leader, James Whaley. Offensively, the Lynx managed to play well considering several missing starters.

On the first series, Marty Cross hit Luis Cortes in the back of the endzone for the first score. The next score came when Cross ran 2 yards on a bootleg that caught the Wolves by surprise. Second year receiver Edwin Diaz, caught the last touchdown with the second of his two beautiful catches. Diaz out-jumped the defender and hauled in the 38 yard pass from Cross.
