Amanda Holloway is a Psychology major in her freshman year at Rutgers University in Camden. A graduate from Triton Regional High School, she has been active and competitive in cheerleading since she was about 10 years old.

As part of the Rutgers Raptors, she likes the competition among the cheerleading squads, and hopes that people will understand that "cheerleading IS a sport and takes as much time and dedication" as other organized sports. It's work and it's fun and it keeps her in shape. She thanks her Mom for encouraging her to stick with it when she was younger and thinking about giving up cheerleading.

Amanda works part time in the Psychology department at school and baby-sits on the side. During the summer months she volunteers some time to the Big Sisters Association. She likes working with people and especially kids. Weekends find her spending time with family and friends going to the movies or shopping.

She still has plenty of time to decide what she will do when she finishes school, but whatever her choice, it is most important to be happy.
