Kevin A. Blackshear, Jr., a senior at Deptford High School is looking to take his game on the road. The game is football and he is on the road to college. As his final year in high school approaches, Kevin is considering schools like Michigan State, Syracuse and Rutgers New Brunswick.

In football Kevin plays defensive and offensive tackle for the Deptford Spartans. Before high school, he played in the Westville's unlimited weight club. While at Deptford High his parents have influenced Kevin with love and support and extended themselves by actively participating in the Football parents Club. This association organizes and sponsors events to help raise funds for things like team jackets and dinners recognizing the team's and players' accomplishments.

Kevin admires Carolina Panthers' Reggie White for his spirituality and commitment to skills and sportsmanship. His favorite player is Warren Sapp of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Kevin aspires to one day play in the NFL with likes of his favorite players, he realizes the reality of stiff competition in professional football makes it a wise thing to consider serious study in college and develop an alternate career plan. Kevin hopes to make his field of study in communications, radio and television. He specifically wants to get into the production area of media. With all that in mind, Kevin hopes to obtain a scholarship that will help him direct his studies in communications if not in sports. His first love, naturally, is Football.

Kevin is currently training with Graig White of Team Conditioning Systems in preparation for the upcoming football season.
