Atlantic City High School were hosting their annual Battle by the Bay tournament which features top boy’s basketball teams from the New York and New Jersey area. Today was the first of two days this event will be held which featured match up of contenders for their represented division. The extremely talented Warriors from Life Center Academy (22-5) outplayed Atlantic City Saturday afternoon and captured the 74-57 victory. Arnauld Dahi and Darryl Gladden led the way for the Warriors.

Imagine you are walking into a high school gymnasium and seeing a boy’s basketball team that physically looks like a team from the NBA or a top division one university. Life Center has a team loaded with height, quickness and shooting ability. Atlantic City (11-3) had their hands full trying to slow down the dual of Dahi and Gladden. The first half alone gave the spectators a view of a team that plays mostly schools from outside the South Jersey area.

Life Center jumped out early demonstrating that no range was too far to shoot and even score. Three pointers were dropping in like a balled up piece of paper being thrown into the Grand Canyon. Arnauld Dahi, who scored a game high 24 points, connected on most of those shots in the first half. Atlantic City coach Morris sent his team onto the court trailing by 21 points to start the second half. His team would respond to the challenge early in the third quarter, but the lead was too big to overcome.
