Both of these starting pitchers were on top of their game in this Colonial Conference battle between the Lady Bulldawgs from Haddonfield and the Green Wave from Audubon. Candace O'Donnell has been one of the reasons to Audubon's success this season. O'Donnell picked up her thirteen win pitching this season with a 2-1 victory over Haddonfield. Kelsi Fanelli knocked in the tying run and scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Theresa Taraschi knew that if Haddonfield (7-4) were going to win this game, she would have to pitch a good game and rely on the defense to back her up. Haddonfield did that for six innings and led 1-0 when Carrie Runne's RBI double scored the first run of the game in the top of the fourth. Taraschi kept Audubon off the scoreboard for six and a third innings.

Audubon (15-0) were in jeopardy of losing their first game of the season as they watched the first out recorded in the bottom of the seventh inning. Kelsi Fanelli would get her chance at the plate when Jennifer Jackson reached on base. Fanelli's RBI tripled tied the game at 1-1 with one out. She would later score on a wild pitch to give the Green Wave a come from behind last inning win.
