High School Softball:
Audubon Remains Perfect With Shutout Over Gateway

It sure did not feel like its time for softball, let alone any spring sports with the temperatures pushing close to the freezing point. When your team is winning games, sometimes it does not matter how cold it is. Audubon has been the team keeping warm, as they have won their first 3 games this season. The Green Wave scored some late insurance runs to defeat Gateway 6-0 in a Colonial Conference game.

During last year’s playoff run, Audubon’s post season ended abruptly as they were knocked out of their title run by Burlington Township. Knowing what it takes to regain that number one seeded position for this year’s championship, the Lady Green Wave has rolled past Haddonfield, Collingswood and the Lady Gators. Audubon expanded a 1-0 lead through five innings by scoring five more in the bottom of the sixth to earn the win.
