The Lady Eagles from West Deptford have been an on row starting out their new softball season. By winning their first three games, they have remained amongst the leaders of the Colonial Conference. Also representing the same competitive conference, Audubon dropped their season opener and was looking to win their second game in a row against another undefeated team. West Deptford's Michele Black has been successful keeping their opponents from generating runs and she would continue to do so today. Audubon would score only one run in this game but that was enough for Lauren Beckas to pitch seven scoreless innings for the Green Wave. Audubon's defense came up with some nice plays to preserve their 1-0 victory.

This game started out with West Deptford unable to jump out to an early lead during their first time at bat. For the Lady Green Wave, Sam Bennett would pick up her first of two hits on the day. That's when Alyssa Krajewski roped a triple down the left field line and Audubon would jump out to a 1-0 advance. From that point on, it was a defensive battle that both pitchers would enjoy the support they had on the field. Audubon would pick up their second straight victory and improve their record to 2-1 while West Deptford would loss their first game of the season.
