Cherokee defeated Cinnaminson 5-1 in Tier 1 action at the Skate Zone despite the efforts of Cinnaminson goalkeeper Kevin Kloss. Louis Sarcone led the Cherokee attack with two goals, Anthony Casale scored the lone Cinnaminson goal. Cherokee controlled the play for most of the first period, launching 18 shots but could only beat Kloss twice. First Pat McMahon scored to make it 1-0 with just over six minutes left in the period and Sarcone tallied just over one minute later to put Cherokee up 2-0. Kloss made several saves from point blank range to keep his team close. Kevin Magnin scored a power play goal from the slot and Cherokee led 3-0, but that was the only goal of the period as Kloss stood tall in nets and Cinnaminson just needed to generate some offense as they were being out shot 28-9 after two periods.

Jeff Burd made it 4-0 with seven minutes left in the third period as he lifted home a rebound on a shot by Brady Foster. Cinnaminson finally got on the board as Anthony Casale scored on a breakaway with less than six minutes left in the game. Sarcone closed out any hope of a Cinnaminson rally scoring with less than four minutes left in the game and Cherokee escaped with a 5-1 win.
