Eastern Takes Match Against Cherry Hill East

In a match were two of the top girl's volleyball teams met on the court, everything was at stake with the conference title on the line. The Lady Vikings of Eastern traveled to Cherry Hill East to face the Lady Cougars. This very competitive meeting between these two teams would go the distance with the Lady Vikings gaining the edge to defeat East 15-8, 10-15, 15-9. Natalie DiFeliciantonio led the team with 9 kills and 6 stuff blocks, while Alison Lorenzo contributed 13 service points, 4 aces and 17 assists.
The fans were definitely out for this match as Eastern and East always produce a very competitive meeting. During the first game of the match, it was Eastern who put things together late in the game to win. Eastern played with an air of confidence that was felt through out this game as they just would not lose. But East would not have a let down as they went into the second match. Jhane Zarghami was dominating as she was very aggressive at the net blocking shots. In another close game, East would hold off the Lady Vikings as they took the second game 15-10 to even the match.
The deciding game of this match watched the Lady Vikings stormed out to an early 7-0 lead. But this was a lead that Cherry Hill East would cut into and attempt a comeback. Eastern's lead was large enough to with stand the Lady Cougar's effort to get back into this game. Eastern took the third game by a score of 15-9.
Eastern was lead by Natalie DiFeliciantonio's 9 kills and 6 stuff blocks, Lauren Levy's 8 kills and 4 stuff blocks, Alison Lorenzo's 13 service points, 4 aces and 17 assists, Caitlin Cielo's 6 kills and 1 ace, Shannon Jones 6 service points and 17 assists, and Kristen Bertucci 7 service points and 8 digs.
Cherry Hill East was lead by Jhane Zarghami 9 kills, 2 aces, 20 digs, and 14 blocks, Inna Fabrikant 12 assists and Neesha Shah 3 kills 15 digs 4 blocks.
