Kevin Desrochers scored three goals as Cherry Hill East shut out St. John Neumann 5-0 and finish the season without a loss. The two teams will meet again for the Tier 2 championship on Friday night January 31 at Hollydell. Neumann will have that long to figure out how to generate more offense, as they had a season low ten shots on goal. After a scoreless first period, East scored three goals in a span of four minutes to take control of the game.

Louis Stomel opened the scoring, as he banged home a rebound of a shot by James Brown three minutes into the second period. Moments later Desrochers made it 2-0 as East seemed to be quicker to the puck and Andrew Rovinsky fed Desrochers for the goal.

Meanwhile, Neumann had not generated any offense and did not get their first shot on goal until nine minutes had been played. Brian Buck made it 3-0 converting a pass from Patrick Clancy. Neumann added one more shot and finished with two shots in the period. Desrochers added a power play and short-handed goal late in the third period as East finished strong.
