Sure this game wasn't played in the best conditions to determine the outcome of this South Jersey Group 2 matchup. On and off rain, muddy field conditions and cold temperature...perfect good old-time football weather. Sterling, seeded sixth, used two-second quarter touchdowns to squeeze by the Pirates from Cinnaminson. The Silver Knights 14-12 win moved them into the semi-finals against the second seeded Eagles from West Deptford.

Cinnaminson opened this game with Dave Mebs 6-yard touchdown pass to Joe McGuigan. The Pirates would miss that all-important extra point attempt but led 6-0 in the first quarter. Sterling would get their ground game moving in the second quarter to tie, then go ahead on their success extra point with 8:07 remaining. Ken Parker put the Silver Knights ahead on his one-yard plunge and the extra point attempt he converted. Marcus Hammond added another touchdown in the quarter to put Sterling up 14-6. Cinnaminson would add a third quarter touchdown, but their 2-point attempt to tie the game failed
