Randy Einfalt had a goal and three assists, and Adam Roy a hat trick to lead the Eastern Vikings JV squad past Clearview 4-1 in a SJHSIHL game played Sunday night at Hollydell. With a young team, the Vikings struggled early but were playing solid defense led by Tom Fadako and Joe DiLauro. Coach Phillips has done a nice job bringing this team along.

Einfalt opened the scoring on the power play with just under ten minutes remaining in the opening period, with Bryce Lawson assisting. Almost four minutes later, Einfalt sent Roy in and with his goal the lead was 2-0. Clearview cut the lead to 2-1 with thirty-five seconds remaining in the period when Jake Adams converted a pass from Matt Carelli and Mike Cargill.

Giving up a late goal in the period earlier in the season might have affected the Vikings, but their maturity is starting to show. Midway through the second period, Einfalt was behind the net and threaded a pass to Roy who went short side and the lead was 3-1. Less than two minutes later, Roy completed his hat trick, again from Einfalt to make it 4-1. Neither team would score in the third period, and with the win, Eastern moved above the five hundred mark.
