Clearview Too Much For Holy Cross

Mike Gooch and Rob Coble notched two goals each as Clearview breezed by Holy Cross 6-0 in a SJHSIHL game played at Hollydell on Friday night. Clearview, which had been getting off slowly in the last few games, wasted little time as Gooch scored thirteen seconds into the game. Just as you were settling into your seat, it was already 1-0. Two minutes later, Coble made it 2-0 with the assists going to Pat Sullivan and Ryan Arnold.

As their undefeated season continues, Clearview's offense seems to be clicking as they generated a season high fifty-five shots. With a strong defense led by John Meenan who was hitting everyone and anyone that had the puck, they will be tough to beat. The highlight goal of the night was a breakaway goal scored by Gunnar Fox as he was sent in on a tape to tape pass from Dave Gooch and it was 3-0. Mike Gooch scored right before the buzzer and we moved to the second period with Clearview in control at 4-0.

Coble scored on the power play midway through the second period and the lead grew to 5-0. Ryan Arnold closed out the scoring on a breakaway near the end of the second period and the 6-0 final.
