High School Ice Hockey: Brown Leads Clearview Over Rancocas Valley Monday, December 10, 2001 By Mike Costantino SJSports Staff Writer Gunnar Fox had a goal and an assist, Jason Brown stopped all twenty-two shots as Clearview defeated Rancocas Valley 3-0 on Monday night at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. The game began with Rancocas carrying the play for the first half of the period, but Brown turned away every chance. With less than seven minutes remaining in the period, Fox converted a pass from John Probe and Clearview led 1-0 scoring on their first shot. Later in the period, Chris Riggs rebounded a blast from Nick Vacarino and after one period Clearview led 2-0. Rancocas had several chances to cut the lead. The best coming on a two-man advantage for a minute and twenty seconds, but Brown kept them at bay. Jon Gardner's goal with three seconds left in the period put Clearview up 3-0. With the win Clearview remained in first place just two points ahead of Cherokee. Photos by Art Redd
