Goals by Wyatt Fox and Chris Riggs midway through the third period helped Clearview overcome a 3-2 deficit and hold on to beat Shawnee 4-3. Todd Dennison led Shawnee with two goals and David Gooch led the Clearview attack with two goals. Playing by far their best game of the season, Shawnee led most of the game, despite being out-shot 36-11. Dennison scored in the games first two minutes as Jeff Hoffner found him along the left circle and his shot went just under the crossbar. About six minutes later, Dennison broke in and using the defenseman as a screen wristed a shot that found the net and Shawnee led 2-0.

Lance McCarthy, in nets for Shawnee, kept Clearview at bay until Gooch scored two goals in a three-minute span to tie the game at 2-2. Both times he used his quickness to create opportunities and McCarthy had no chance on both goals. After a scoreless second period, Shawnee recaptured the lead at 3-2 as David Dinn unleashed one from the point through a screen two minutes into the third period. That lead lasted until the heroics by Fox and Riggs. If Shawnee can produce that kind of effort in the playoffs, they could do some damage in the double-elimination format.
