Lower Merion rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Clearview 3-2 in Flyers Cup action played at the Skate Zone. All three teams from South Jersey lost last night despite playing on their home ice. Jim Sprinkle and Wyatt Fox had given Clearview a 2-0 lead scoring forty seconds apart. First Sprinkle was sent on a great pass from Mike Sullivan to make it 1-0. Then Bill Dunbar hit Fox with a cross-ice pass and his quick shot had Clearview ahead 2-0.

Lower Merion responded in the second period with three goals in a span of two minutes. Mike Lundy responded first on the power play and then moments later jamming home a rebound to tie the game at 2-2. Lundy set up the game winner as he found Bill Wendler in front and his shot just trickled over the goal line. Clearview was unable to get the equalizer in the third period and the SJHSIHL lost their third game of the night in the annual tournament.
