Three Game Winning Streak for Gloucester Catholic

Two teams that were right in the middle of the standings making a push towards the playoffs were the Lady Pioneers from Clearview and the visiting Lady Rams from Gloucester Catholic. Clearview had won the first meeting between these two teams representing the Tri-County League Royal Division and needed to repeat their performance in order to pick up the all important win. Clearview would hold a brief one run lead heading into the middle innings only to see Gloucester Catholic rally during the third and fourth innings. Those runs were just enough for Brittany Carosina to pick up the win by defeating Clearview by an 8-6 margin.

Clearview would jump out to a 2-1 lead after the first inning was complete and it was a good start for the Pioneers to win their second straight game against the Rams. Gloucester Catholic began to put an end to any thoughts of a second loss when they scored four times during the third inning to take a 5-2 advantage. After Clearview tact on another run during the bottom of the inning, the Rams would continue their success at the plate by scoring three more times in the fourth. Vicky McDermott would hit a home run in this game for Clearview but it would not be enough to come away with the victory.
