Delran Bears Out Distance Northern Burlington Greyhounds

Delran defeated Northern Burlington 19 to 16 on Saturday at Delran High School. The game was won on a 42-yard field goal by Ryan Molinaro with just over 3 minutes left in the third quarter.

The Greyhounds got on the board first with a safety and a touchdown run by Scott Silva to pull ahead of Delran 9 to 0. The Bears quarterback Jeff Johnson responded with a touchdown pass to bring the score to 9 to 7. The next score was by Greyhounds Charles Powell with a 1 yard run, but the Bears scored the final 9 points with a 35 yard field goal by Molinaro, a 15 yard pass from Johnson to Ted Trump and the game winner by Molinaro.
