Delran Advances with Win over Gateway

You've heard it before, but it never gets old. The playoff is a new season where every team starts out with no wins and no losses. The eleventh seeded Gators from Gateway knew they had to play well in order to come away with a win at Delran. Joe Kane put a damper on Gateway's hopes as he scored a minute and fifty seconds into this game. The Gators would battle back but the sixth seeded Bears continued to stay one step ahead of their opponent by keeping the pressure on the defense. Delran would jump ahead during the second half for good and with this game by a 4-2 margin.

Delran wasted little time getting on the scoreboard when Dave Ribeiro set up Kane with a nice pass which lead to a 1-0 lead. Just under a minute and a half remaining until intermission, Sean Gavin tip a pass to Max Grigri who got just enough on the ball that slowly rolled into the net tying this game at a goal apiece. Delran would continue with the pressuring style of play and took a 2-1 lead. From that point on, the Bears would continue to stay ahead of Gateway with goals from Ribeiro and Halil Aydin. Grigri would score a goal in each half for the Gators.
