High School Ice Hockey: Eastern Rolls Past Rancocas Valley Monday, November 25, 2002 By Mike Costantino SJSports Staff Writer Anthony Orner had three goals and three assists to power Eastern to an 11-2 victory over Rancocas Valley. Sean Sullivan added two goals and two assists and Brian Williams stopped 23 shots as Eastern moved to within five points of first place Clearview. The line of Orner, Sullivan and Rubino created numerous chances every time they were on the ice while Coach Pontonio got a glimpse of what that line can do when they stay out of the penalty box. Williams had a solid game, stopping some point blank shots and only giving up two goals, both on odd-man rushes. Aaron Smith and Ray Mellon scored the goals for Rancocas Valley. Eastern's Chris Leig scored twice and they also got goals from Bryan Schellenhammer, John Piermetti, Rory Levinson and Rich Demonte and climbed to the five hundred mark with the win.
