High School Ice Hockey: Sullivan And Tunstall Lead Vikings Over Clearview Monday, November 17, 2003 By Mike Costantino SJSports Staff Writer Sean Sullivan had three goals and three assists, and Brandon Tunstall added two goals and three assists as Eastern rolled over Clearview 8-2 at the Skate Zone. Coming off a win over previously undefeated Rancocas Valley, Clearview was looking to spoil Eastern’s winning streak, but the Vikings had other ideas. The line of Sullivan, Tunstall and Anthony Orner, who chipped in with four assists, were dominant all night, and set the tone as Sullivan scored his three goals in the first period. Dan Tavana added two goals and Chris Lieg also scored for the Vikings as they continue to get contributions from all three lines. Jim Sprinkle and Bill Dunbar scored the Clearview goals. Eastern is clearly the team to beat again this year and barring injury will be tough to dethrone last years champion. Notes: Danny Myers faced his first penalty shot in league play, and he could not remember having ever faced one. Sprinkle was the shooter and he never got the shot off as Myers poke-checked the puck off his stick. Photos by Art Redd
