Brandon Tunstall had a hat trick and Sean Sullivan chipped in with four assists as Eastern defeated Moorestown 7-2 in a game played at Voorhees on Thursday. Originally, scheduled for earlier in the season, the game was postponed due to scheduling conflicts and Eastern clinched first place with the victory. After Joey Johnston had put Eastern up 1-0, Tunstill and Sullivan struck twice in the final twenty seconds of the period. Sullivan and Orner did a good job keeping the puck in, Tunstill was in the right position along the right side of the net, and he buried it for a 2-0 lead.

Then, Orner won the center ice face-off and hit Sullivan flying down the left wing and his cross-ice pass to Tunstill was right on the tape and Tunstill just re-directed the puck and all of a sudden, it was 3-0. Early in the second period, Johnston broke in with Anthony DeFino and when the defenseman committed to Johnston, he slid the puck to DeFino and his quick shot made it 4-0. Just a few minutes later Dan Tavana stole the puck and his shot found the net and Eastern led 5-0. Back-up goalie Manny Rayo made several stops from in close to preserve the shutout, but Colin Corley broke through for Moorestown midway through the period to make it 5-1. Tunstall got that went back about ninety seconds later and Eastern led 6-1 after two periods.

Orner and Mike Bodine traded goals in the third period as Eastern skated away with a 7-2 win. The only thing standing in the Vikings path for an unbeaten season is Washington Township. The two teams collide on Monday night in Voorhees.
