Dan Drazen took care of the scoring and Mike Dougherty withstood a 21 shot third period as Eastern defeated Clearview 5-3 at Hollydell Arena on Friday night. Drazen scored three goals and assisted on another in scoring his second consecutive hat trick, having tallied three in the win on Monday night. Andrew Michael led the Clearview attack with two goals. Drazen scored the only goal of the first period, on the power play in the opening minute as the Vikings jumped out early. Dougherty made several big saves to keep Clearview scoreless. Drazen again scored an early goal, this time on a steal of a clearing pass and his quick blast, made it 2-0.

Late in the period Justin Sperling followed up a shot by Drazen, and his power play goal seemingly put Eastern in control at 3-0 after two periods. But Clearview rallied in the third, after winning the opening face-off they kept the puck in the offensive zone for forty seconds and finally Joe Tropiano put home a rebound to cut the lead to 3-1. With momentum now on their side, Clearview continued the pressure and three minutes later Michael scored his first goal with a shot just under the cross bar and all of a sudden it was 3-2.

Clearview continued to mount offensive pressure, but Dougherty kept them at bay, making a key save on a breakaway by Nick Fiocco. But with just under five minutes left in the game, Michael tied the score at 3-3 jamming home a rebound of a shot by Shaun Stamm. Drazen would score the game winner with just over three minutes left as Derrick Schemmel made a great pass to send Drazen in and his goal proved to be the game winner. The Vikings added an empty net goal in the final seconds to ice the game at 5-3.
