Head coach Bob Lee looks to an experienced backfield and offensive line as the key to improving on last year's 3-6 season.

After losing graduating seniors Sam Rosetti and Ryan Fischer to Rowan University, and Eric Mitchell to New Hampshire, Coach Lee will depend on returning varsity players and players moving up from the junior varsity and freshman teams to improve on last year's record.

Junior running back Na Na Gillette-Spio, who had 1440 yards last year as a sophomore, and senior full back Jed Miller, with 800 yards last year, provide a strong backfield for Edgewood's Wing-T attack.

Starting line Mike Williams, Mat Wister, Mike Pickup, Rocco Rosetti, and Cliff Swingle provide the muscle in the Eagles offense. Coach Lee admits that their weak point is an inexperienced defense. "If the defense gels we could be tough on any given day," says Coach Lee. Helping the Eagles will be several players moving up from the JV and Freshman teams. Quarterbacks Kyle Marella and Chris Catunia move to the varsity team this year.

Coach Lee expects that the teams to beat in the Olympic Conference this year will be the Woodrow Wilson Tigers, the Overbrook Rams, and the Camden Panthers.
