Edgewood High School's girls track runners had a great week: Wins at the Penn Relays and Rowland Relays.

In the finals of the 4x400 relay at the Penn Relays, Edgewood's team of Saudia Saleem, Y'vette Murry, Pamela Richardson, and Tenille Payne, scored a victory. The team set a new school record for Edgewood with a time of 3:58. Each team member was given a medal and the school was given a circular plaque.

Then on Saturday, the girls set two records at the Rowland relays and came in first in another event. In the Shuttle hurdles, the team of Saudia Saleem, Y'vette Murry, Pamela Richardson, and Kierra Clemons, set a new record with a time of 1:04.1. This time was two seconds faster then the record time that was set by Highland in 1997. The second record came in the 3x400 intermediate hurdles. The team of Saudia Saleem, Y'vette Murry, Pamela Richardson set the record of a time of 3:19.1. Edgewood's other first place came in the 4x200. The team of Saudia Saleem, Kierra Clemons, Pamela Richardson, and Tenille Payne picked up the victory.

The Coaches, Administration, Faculty, and Student Body of Edgewood are very proud of what this team has produced.
