Edgewood Girls Tennis Week In Review

Friday, September 17, 1999

By Andrea Johnson
SJSports Student Correspondent

Edgewood opened the season on September 13th with a 5-0 win over Pennsauken. Strong performances were posted by both singles and doubles players. With three more matches on the schedule for the week, bad weather blew through and canceled our matches against both Paul VI and Cinnaminson. After a couple of days off, the Lady Eagles returned to play Bishop Eustace (see article below). However, the Lady Eagles' efforts were unsuccessful.

This week is full of tough matches including Cherry Hill West and Overbrook. With a lot of hard work and well-played matches, the Ladies Eagles hope to add a few more wins to their record by the end of the week.
