There's a starting guard at Haddonfield High School that's enjoyable to watch on the basketball court. The Lady Bulldawgs went right to work in the first quarter establishing their lead and never looked back. Sophomore Julie Sobolewski scored 12 points in the initial quarter to roll past Haddon Heights 64-36 in conference play. Haddonfield remained on top of the Colonial Conference with no loses to their conference record.

It's widely known through out Haddonfield about the success of the area high school basketball programs so far this year. The girl's represent the top 3 teams in the conference with Haddonfield in first place followed by Haddon Township and Haddon Heights. The Lady Garnets from Haddon Heights were only two loses behind the conference leading Haddonfield before this game.

Sobolewski had the hot hand early as she was able to work her way into Haddon's defense. If the shot was not open, sophomore Julianne Rusie was open for the basket and two points. The Lady Bulldawgs jumped out to a 22-10 lead after one quarter and the 38-18 halftime edge was too much for their opponent to overcome.

The Lady Garnets outscored Haddonfield in the third quarter behind the scoring of sophomore Nicole Jones. She scored 9 points in the quarter and finished with a team high 15 points. Megan Hueter also added 10 points for Haddon Heights. Julie Sobolewski had a game high 20 points, Julianne Rusie finished with 16 points and Tracey Bolger added 11 points for the host Haddonfield.
