Two teams having two different stretch of games met on the softball field at Haddonfield High School. It has been a rough beginning for the softball team from Haddon Township who were looking to end a string of tough losses. In their seventh consecutive Colonial Conference game, the Lady Hawks were looking to get back on the winning side of a game after starting the season with four straight victories. Haddonfield also have had some recently competitive games and their match up against the Hawks would be another game that both teams looked to have the advantage. Haddonfield's second inning success allowed them to take a lead and hold onto the 2-1 victory.

Haddon Township quickly jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one complete inning. Starting pitcher Colleen O'Riordan has a small lead to work with after keeping Haddonfield off the scoreboard during their first at bat. The next set of batters was able to reach base allowing an opportunity tie this game. Two key back to back singles with runners in scoring position allowed Haddonfield to pull ahead by a run still with plenty of innings to produce more runs. But both pitchers were able to keep the score the same for the remainder of the game. That would be good news for Casey Marguccio who picked up the win on the mound for the Lady Bulldogs.
