By Jason Brown

This year was another chance for Overbrook to repeat as champions of the Hammonton Baseball Tournament. It would be a good start as they took on the host Blue Devils in the preliminary round. The Rams’ players were successful finding open spaces as the team finished the game with sixteen hits. Rams starting pitcher Jim Birmingham watched his team score five runs in the first two innings and that was more than enough to advance to the final round with their 13-1 victory. But the championship game against Ewing was a different story as the defense was victimized by six errors in a 10-7 loss.
