High School Soccer:
Highland's Defense Record another Win

Based on what has happened so far, it would be safe to say that Highland's boy's soccer team has gotten off to a good start this season. By winning five of their first six games, the Tartans are sitting on top of the Tri-County Conference Royal Division. Each one of Highland's victories has resulted in the defense keeping their opponents from scoring any goals. Delsea's efforts would come up short as Mike Cullen netted three goals highlighting Highland's 6-0 victory at home. Mike Flacco would pick up his third straight shutout in the net for the Tartans.

It didn’t take long for the Crusaders to find out all of the strengths Highland possess on the field. Delsea finished last season as the division champs and advanced to the Group 3 championship game. With that much success, Highland would attempt to control this game against the defending champs. Cullen has the reputation of being the scorer and it proved to be true in this game. But the Tartans have ten other players on the field who make up the team and can put the ball into the net as well. Sal Pistone scored twice for Highland and Tony Lavigna added a goal.
