It has been a very busy week for those teams participating in the holiday tournaments that take place at the end of the year. For LEAP Academy, they had just completed a tournament in North Jersey and were right back on the court this time participating in the Jameer Nelson Classic held at Cherry Hill East High School. The Lancers would have to defeat a highly ranked St. Anthony boy's basketball team. Right away St. Anthony showed why they are so good with so many talented players on the court. LEAP Academy would have their seven game winning streak ended as St. Anthony would go on and post the 75-53 win.

The Nelson Classic would feature several basketball teams from South Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. Haddonfield, Burlington City and LEAP Academy were the three teams representing the South Jersey Area. St. Josephs Prep, American Christian, Chester, Abington Friends, Simon Gratz, Lower Merion, Central, Plymouth Whitemarsh, Frankford and Academy of the New Church were the teams representing Southeastern Pennsylvania.

St. Anthony’s starting lineup consists of five players that have the potential of putting up digit points every night. With so many players to defend, LEAP would find themselves trailing by eight points after one quarter. The second quarter would be a bit different with the Lancers outscoring their opponent by one, but it would be the second half that would different story. St. Anthony would outscore their opponent 41-16 and LEAP Academy would suffer their first loss of the season.
