Mike Brown scored five goals as Neumann defeated Lenape 8-1 to keep their season alive and advance in the playoff tournament. Next up for Neumann will be a date with Paul VI at Voorhess on Monday night. An unlikely hero, Brown scored just six goals all season, but tonight everything seem to go in. His first goal he was all-alone in the slot just two minutes into the game and he ripped it into the back of the net. After Shawn Kosoy tied the game at 1-1. Brown deflected a point shot by Chris Lanciano to give Neumann the lead for good at 2-1 with just over three minutes left in the period. In the final seconds of the period, Brown sent Curran McCauley in on a breakaway and suddenly it was 3-1.

Tom Lerro scored the only goal of the second period on a pass from Lanciano and Neumann went into the third period leading 4-1. Brown scored on a short-handed breakaway and then again on a screened shot making it 6-1. Lanciano, again from the point and this time with a two-man-advantage, found the net again and it was 7-1. Brown closed out his magical night as Lanciano again set him up with a cross-ice pass.

Notes: Williamstown will play Cherry Hill East at Voorhees on Monday and Cinnaminson will meet Cherokee II in Pensauken.
