It was a chance for Lindenwold to gain those all-important power points coming down to the cutoff date. The Eagles from West Deptford provided them with an opportunity that the Lions were ready for the challenge. An early first quarter lead quickly dashed the hopes of Lindenwold knocking off the undefeated and division leading West Deptford football team. Scoring thirty-one unanswered points, the Eagles went into Lindenwold and came away with the 31-6 Colonial Conference win.

Coach Derryk Sellers didn’t waste anytime seeing what his offense could do against the Eagles defense. About thirty seconds into this game, the Lions were successful passing the ball. Quarterback Ricky Pisturo connected with a 73-yard catch and run touchdown to Nate Wyche. The Lindenwold faithful had hope that their home team could continue with their high level of play. The defense was able to force West Deptford to turn the ball back over to the Lions offense. Continuing to prove they could pass the ball, a Lions pass attempted was picked off by Scott Donoloff who returned the ball 25 yards and the lead after Jake Brownell extra point was good. Brownell extended the Eagles first quarter lead to 10-6 with a 35-yard field goal.

West Deptford began to call on Tom Walls the way they have all season. This time, Anthony Scirrotto completed an 80-yard pass to Walls for an Eagles touchdown during the second quarter. Walls would add a 5-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Eddie Donstsell also showed off his running ability by recording a 60-yard touchdown also in the third quarter. Lindenwold had no answer to the thirty-one straight points their opponents scored on them.
