The Lady Quakers from Moorestown were hosting a non-league girl's volleyball match against the Cougars from Cherry Hill East. Both of these teams were coming off of easy wins Friday and were looking to play well against a better opponent. The starting captains during this match were Cortney Wallace, Colette Blankenship and Rachel Johnston from Moorestown and Diana Maciunas and Elyse Mitchell from Cherry Hill East. The Lady Cougars (4-1, 2-1) had the momentum during this match and cruised past Moorestown winning both games 15-4, 15-10.

Moorestown (5-2, 3-0) is sitting on top of the National Division with Gloucester Township Tech right behind them in the standings. Cherry Hill East meanwhile is chasing the undefeated Eastern Lady Vikings but staying in front of Washington Township. The Lady Cougars know they have to stay sharp and play well in order to remain on the winning side of the net.

Cherry Hill East jumped out quickly to a 7-1 lead scoring five straight points before Wallace got the Lady Quakers first and second points with an ace serve. Marci Polite would switch back the momentum to East with one of her kills that put the Cougars up 10-3 and then cruised to the first game victory.

The second game was a bit different with Moorestown finding their rhythm and taking the early lead. Cecilia Allende's ace put the Quakers up 3-0 before Maciunas served six straight points to regain the lead 6-3. Polite, Maciunas and Katie Gold were very aggressive at the net allowing East widening their lead to 12-4. That momentum switched when Moorestown began to execute well when Blankenship served six straight points and got her team back in this game trailing 12-9. East would finally put Moorestown away to capture this match.
