Delsea has had an impressive start early on this year with their football program. The Crusaders were expected to be able to put some points on the scoreboard, but the defense has made some noise with their play so far. Delsea picked up its fourth straight win against Overbrook by a score of 29-0. Quarterback Jason Ruczynski connected on 2 second half touchdown passes, while the defense recorded its third shutout of the season.

This game was reschedule for today and was the only high school football played. While most were at home watching the professional football league on television, Overbrook was hosting the division leading Crusaders in a Tri-County Conference Royal Division game. Delsea were in first place because of their defense that has allowed just 8 points scored on them this season. Deptford were the only team that scored the lone touchdown on them.

After a scoreless first quarter, Delsea finally got the game's first points when Johnnie Jones ran the from 33-yards out putting the Crusaders up 8-0 after the 2-point conversion. The defense set up not only the team's first touchdown of the day, but also the next two as well. Delsea's defense turned three interceptions into scores. Dave Lamach 10-yard rushing touchdown put the Crusaders up 15-0 after three quarters. Jason Ruczynski put the finishing touches on Overbrook in the fourth quarter on receptions by D.J. Talvacchio and James Stevenson crossed the goal line.
