This weekend at Overbrook High School, the highly ranked Dragons from Kingsway entered the gymnasium to participate in a double match hosted by the Rams. Overbrook quickly fell victim to Kingsway's superior strength and were ready to do the same to Lower Cape May. The second match of the day also saw Kingsway coming away with the win which led to the last match of the day. Both the Tigers from Lower Cape May and Overbrook wanted to end the day with a win. After six bouts were completed and the match tied, the Tigers would record seven consecutive pins to sweep Overbrook away with the win. The final score reflected Lower Cape May determination to pick up the 54-12 decision allow them to walk off the mat with a win.
If the way this meet started indicated that it was going to be a long day for the Rams. Kingsway had posted a 74-0 decision over Overbrook and Lower Cape May had the feeling that they would have their way after recording a pin in the first bout of their match. Tigers' A.J. Fisher pinned Dave Taylor in the third period to jump out to the early lead. After Overbrook's Paul DeMarco pinned Ivan Adams during the 125 lb bout, the Rams would eventually tie this game at 12 apiece after 140 lb bout. The Tigers would then reel off pin after pin after pin to clearly put this match away.
