With the upcoming group basketball tournament beginning in about two weeks, there are some teams working on implementing a few new plays in preparation of the beginning of the high school version of March Madness. Two teams from the Burlington County League Freedom Division occurred at Palmyra when the boy's basketball team from Moorestown Friends entered the facilities. With a position already secured in the South Group I bracket, the Panthers' early success at building a lead allowed them to get as many players involved as possible. When Palmyra posted their 68-61 victory, five players finished in double figures.

The Panthers would jump out to a 20-14 lead after one quarter was completed and expanded their advantage to eight points at halftime. Santos Gonzalez was successful at putting points on the scoreboard for Moorestown Friends and also getting other players involved in the game. Palmyra would build a 56-39 lead heading into the final quarter. Moorestown Friends would outscore the Panthers 22-12 during the fourth quarter, but Palmyra would hold onto the win. Nick Strom led the Panthers in scoring with 14 points while Quron Pratt (12 points), Bryan Jones (11 points), Eric Anthony (11 points) and Gerald Walker (11 points) all finished the game with double figures.
