On Thursday, Pennsauken defeated Cherokee 3-1 to continue the Indians' chase of the conference championship. Going into the third game, host Cherokee gave Pennsauken all they could handle, after bowling team games of 934-1000. Cherokee leadoff man Jon Hopely, who had bowled games of 231-248, started the third game with 11 consecutive strikes. On the twelve bowl, Jon pulled the last shot and left the 6-10 pin for a nice game of 298, and a series of 777. Helping Jon was Steve Travis with games of 187-224-221=632.

Pennsauken kept its assault on Shawnee, with team games of 1041-1065-961=3067. Leading the way for Pennsauken was Mike Fish with games of 256-225-202=683. Helping Mike were teamates Jim MacKenzie 244-657, and Scott Fish 228-620. Going into Tuesday's match between Pennsauken and Shawnee, Shawnee leads the Conference by one game.
