High School Soccer:
Pennsauken Focuses On another Win

It was windy, cold and a treat of rain in the area in Pennsauken and it looked like any outdoor event would not take place. With the threat of tropical storm Wilma coming up from the South, Overbrook’s girl’s soccer team would arrive at Pennsauken High School to participate in a non league competition. It was close to the end of the season for both teams, but that didn’t stop these girls from competing on the field. The Lady Indians would take full control of this game from the start and pick up the victory by a 5-0 margin.

Right at the start of this game, it appeared as if Overbrook would dominate the opening minutes of this game. But it would be long before Pennsauken applied pressure on the Rams’ keeper Stephanie Stone who was able to turn away several shots by the Indians. Pennsauken’s persistence paid off when Jackie Kampf scored not just one goal but two times leading the way. By the time this game was over, Melissa Love, Lisa Truxton and Shannon Hilt all scored a goal as Lauren Creel completed the shutout in goal for Pennsauken.
